Monroe Central Junior High Golden Bears defeated Tri-High Junior High 24–8 last night. The first half was a defensive battle, with both teams going back and forth and consistently getting stops, leaving the score 0–0 at halftime. Monroe Central came out strong after halftime, scoring on the opening drive and continuing to battle on both sides of the ball. The Golden Bears finished with four touchdowns, while Tri-High scored once late in the game. Peyton Poe and Henry Reed led the offense and defense, while Ryder Nunley stood out defensively. Ryder also made an impact on offense throughout the game.
