Myles Oliphant’s Big Day Propels Monroe Central Varsity Bears Past Randolph Southern By GameChanger Media Myles Oliphant collected three hits in four at bats, as Monroe Central Varsity Bears defeated Randolph Southern 12-3 on Tuesday. Oliphant doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning. Monroe Central Varsity Bears scored seven runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Kyler Bogue drew a walk, scoring one run, Hunter Gard drew a walk, scoring one run, Oliphant doubled, scoring one run, Caleb Luedike was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, an error scored one run, and Alex Middleton singled, scoring one run. Monroe Central Varsity Bears were the first to get on the board in the first when Luedike singled, scoring one run. The hurler went four innings, allowing eight runs (six earned) on eight hits, striking out six and walking four. Oliphant started on the mound for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The starter allowed three hits and two runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking five. Monroe Central Varsity Bears amassed 11 hits in the game. Middleton drove the middle of the lineup, leading Monroe Central Varsity Bears with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-5 on the day.
