Monroe Central JH Roll Past Driver Middle School By GameChanger Media Monroe Central JH won big over Driver Middle School 12-1 on Tuesday at Monroe Central Jr/Sr High School. Monroe Central JH jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Haidyn Knott doubled, scoring two runs, Izzy McGrath was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Mati McConnell singled, scoring one run, and Alayna Dickson grounded out, scoring one run. Monroe Central JH scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Bristol Goad singled, scoring one run, Knott singled, scoring one run, McGrath doubled, scoring two runs, and a passed ball scored one run. Delainee Whitehead earned the win for Monroe Central JH. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Brooklyn Westfall took the loss for Driver Middle School. The pitcher went four innings, allowing seven runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out seven and walking two. Goad appeared in relief for Monroe Central JH. Monroe Central JH tallied nine hits in the game. Knott and Goad each collected two hits for Monroe Central JH. Knott and McGrath were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Monroe Central JH. Rylee Jordan led the team with one run batted in. Driver Middle School had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Driver Middle School turned one double play in the game.
