7th Grade: The 7th Grade Lady Bears hosted the Wes-Del Warriors on Thursday evening and picked up another convincing win, defeating the guests 33-4 and improving to 13-0 on the season. The young Bears got off to a hot start with an 18-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. All 12 girls saw significant floor time and contributed in the win. Leading the scoring barrage for the Bears was Delainee Whitehead with 12, Alexa Tinsman with 11, Scarlett Davis with 7, Remmie Morrison with 2 and Mabrey Cheesman with 1. The Bears travel to Daleville on Saturday for the MEC conference championship, where they face Shenandoah in the semi-finals. GO BEARS!!! 8th Grade: The 8th grade girls basketball team finally got their outside shots to fall last night in the Den downing Wes-Del 46-18 moving their season record to 13-0. Brynlee Dumpert and Ada Wagner didn't score but were a big part of the solid defense effort. Scoring for the night was as follows. Izzy McGrath 13, Landry Taylor 9, Mati McConnell 8, Claire Cheesman 6, Mila Morris 5, Gracie McCreery 3, Lillie Morery 2. The ladies will travel to Daleville Saturday to play Shenandoah in the semi finals of the MEC and with a win a chance at the championship Saturday afternoon.
